The topic of this unit is quite broad. For this reason students will work on one aspect of this unit which concerns Greeklish. The aim is for students, after doing research, to argue for or against Greeklish, to express an opinion and take a stance on the issue that will be the topic of their assignment, as to whether Greeklish is a necessity or a curse for Greek Language.
The informed opinion that each student will take towards this issue, will constitute evidence of his/her role as an active and critically thinking citizen. This will be reflected in the argumentative essay that each student is expected to develop after they have engaged systematically with the issue.
